Some may see this week’s special pup as lucky for getting the chance to pose with countless celebrities, including Hugh Grant, Snoop Dogg, and Kristen Stewart, crowning her the winner of the Most Photographed Animal with Celebrities in the Guinness World Records 2013. But although her name is Lucky, the precious Maltese was given three months to a year left to live at the hands of spleen cancer. Instead of mourning over the fact that Lucky was not expected to live long, Wendy Diamond, Lucky’s doggie parent, decided to honor the pooch’s life and celebrate by throwing a fabulous doggie party. The event also raised awareness for Animal Fair, Diamond’s charity founded in 1999 to help sheltered animals. In attendance were 32 fabulous dogs, cupcakes, tea, and sandwiches. Although Lucky’s story is bittersweet, she has clearly inspired many!
