Dog of the Week: Pitbull Takes a Bullet for His Owner

As evidenced by this week’s dog of the week story, the bond between man and dog is strong enough for one to take a bullet for the other. After a pseudo delivery man showed up at the front door of Justin Becker, nothing but trouble followed. The intruder, attempting to edge his way into the apartment, got into a brawl with Becker before he pushed the trespasser to the ground and slammed the door shut. Meanwhile, Kilo, Becker’s 12-year-old pitbull, smelled trouble and poked his head into the door’s opening, prompting the intruder to shoot the four-legged hero in the head. It is unknown whether the trespasser meant to shoot Kilo or Becker, but regardless, the pitbull was ready to take a bullet for his owner. Refusing to let his furry friend die, Becker bolted to the nearest vet clinic in an attempt to save him. Amazingly, the bullet bounced off of Kilo’s head and went through his neck, never touching his skull. Please keep Kilo in your thoughts for a speedy recovery!
